1) Activities at the Waukee Public Library
Looking for something to do today? Why not check out some of the activities at the Waukee Public Library? The Playful Preschoolers class, for children ages 3 to 6, includes read-aloud stories, songs and rhymes followed by a craft. It's offered at 10 a.m. and again at 2 p.m. today.
For the adults, there's an open book discussion group at 1 p.m. The group will be discussing, "The Geography of Bliss" by Eric Weiner. Copies of the book are available at the library and refreshments will be served.
2) Waukee Sports
The Johnston Middle School 7th grade coed swim team consisting of swimmers from Johnston, Urbandale and Waukee will face Ankeny today at 4:30 p.m. at Ankeny High School. The 8th grade coed swim team will also face Ankeny at 4:30 p.m. at Ankeny High School.
The Waukee High School girls varsity basketball team will face Dowling High School tonight at 7 p.m. in the regional basketball finals at Johnston High School.
