Michaela becomes a florist for a day
PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) - Ever visit someone at work or watch a reality show and think “I could do that” or “I wonder what it’s really like”?
The Rhode Show’s Michaela Johnson took it to the next level. She had the chance to roll up her sleeves, don an apron, and try her hand at being a florist.
Li Rog has been in business for 20 years. The moment you step in the door, you feel like family.
“We have a lot of loyal customers…small town atmosphere.”
Michaela joins Diane Hunt, the owner of Flower Designs by Li Rog , to help cut, arrange, file orders, tie bows, and complete deliveries.
“We have probably 50 or 60 kinds of flowers…coming in almost daily,” said Diane.
The process that flowers have to go through before becoming gifts to your loved ones is lengthier than people realized.
The flowers first come in boxes and need to be prepared. Once cleaned, the roses need to be dethorned. Michaela tried her hand at handling the rose. Then the ends need to be snipped and then placed in water.
