Hebron reflects on solid playoff run
If there was one thing we learned from Hebron this past season, itâs to never count them out.Earlier this month, the Hebron boys had dropped their fourth-straight game to fall to 6-6 in District 8-5A. Things were quickly shaping up to mirror the end of the previous season, when they missed the postseason on tiebreakers. But they rattled off two-straight wins, and the next thing they know, the Hawks find themselves in the third round of the playoffs.
Hebron lost that regional quarterfinal game on Tuesday, 67-49, to South Grand Prairie -- the No. 3 team in the state. But coach Mark Bishop was quick to point out the positives.
âIt (loss) does stink, but I canât be more proud of this team,â he said. âThis team played as a team and I canât exaggerate that. Everyone bought into their roles. I canât be more proud.â
