Couple's "deluxe" chocolate a hit with high end brands
A Manchester couple who have created the crème de la crème of chocolates are now supplying high-end brands favoured by celebrities including Jay Z and Beyonce.
Tracey and Roy Jones are behind The Chocolate, which produces a range of handmade luxury champagne truffles.
The chocolates are drizzled in edible 24-carat gold flakes and sold in presentation boxes adorned with 400 Swarovski crystals.
Each truffle is made with 63% Toscano black chocolate, which is produced by an independent artisan in Pisa. The truffles are made to order in Manchester by The Chocolate, which was launched last August.
The couple supply high end gift companies and most recently were approached by Harrods.
But they are particularly excited about their new partnership with French champagne brand Armand de Brignac. Rapper Jay Z and Oprah Winfrey are reportedly big fans of its Brut Gold Champagne.
The couple have created bespoke limited edition champagne chocolates for its customers, made with Armand de Brignac’s very own bubbly.

“Every country has a different approach, but the appeal of chocolate is that it's an affordable luxury,” she says. “People's day-to-day lives are running around and being crazy. Chocolate is a bit of me-time.” You can find Myriam at her website
