Miss Bussey and Mr. McCarthy exchange vows
Miss Emily Brooke Bussey and Justin Kerr McCarthy, both of Conway, were united in marriage at 4 p.m. Dec. 17, 2011, in a double-ring ceremony at First United Methodist Church, officiated by their pastor the Rev. Charles Murry.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Donald Bussey of Conway. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Everett Kell of Conway and Mrs. Catherine Bussey and the late Mr. William Wayne Bussey of Wilson.
The groom is the son of Mr. Michael McCarthy of Fayetteville, Ga., and Ms. Konnie McCarthy of Conway. He is the grandson of Mrs. Mary Jane Kerr and the late Mr. Lamar Kerr of Calico Rock.
A Christmas wedding inspired by nature with bold pops of red decorated the church. On the outdoor landing were two wreath stands, inside white urns. Fresh greenery on top of the wreath stand, accented with large white sticks and tied with a big red bow. To balance the arrangement, A Southern Tradition also used fresh greenery and red hypericum berries spilling out of the white urn.
