New chamber event highlights hometown flavor
Said.So far, Al’s Luncheonette, Assagio, Billy’s Oak Grove Inn, Do Yourself a Flavor, Harbor Diner, Hime, Irish Eyes, Jonny Boys, Joseph’s at the Tuscany House, Mario’s Uptown Grill, Pepe’s, Renault Winery, Rusty Barrel and the Venice Grill have signed up to participate, Galloway said. Others are welcome to join in.
Each restaurant is asked to bring a sample of two of its signature dishes along with promotional items it would like to offer to the public.
“It could be coupons or menus,” she said.
For example, Billy’s Oak Grove Inn will provide a Polish offering and Harbor Diner will prepare a Greek delicacy, she said. Mario’s will provide Italian food, Hime will bring Asian and Joseph’s at the Tuscany House will bring a Continental dish.
The chamber was pleased that Billy’s Oak Grove in Mullica and Al’s Luncheonette and Assagio’s in Galloway wanted to participate, she said. Assagio’s is located in the Route 30 building where Tre Figlio operated for years.
