Annual Oriental Rug Event
May 10-13. Hyde Park Mennonite Fellowship, 1520 N. 12th St. in Boises North End. 208-333-0535. Thursday, Friday and Saturday, 10 a.m.-8 p.m; Sunday, noon-5 p.m.
Because the store is not large enough to carry these rugs year-round, this event features 300 high-quality, hand-knotted Oriental rugs, from 2x3 to 10x14, made by fairly paid adults. Each rug sold provides a job for an artisan family rebuilding their life after the 2010 flooding disaster in Pakistan.
